Who we are and how people think about us results from what we have spent most of our time focusing on. If you prioritize building your business over spending time at the gym, you'll be known as an entrepreneur instead of a gym rat.
What's the one thing you are known for?
We often have many identities in different contexts. I was known as a pharmaceutical and biotech entrepreneur for the first decade and a half of my career. I wasn't known as a father, martial artist, triathlete, coach, or Visionary.
The same is true for your business. You become closely connected to whatever you focus on, whether a product, service, project, or brand.
Your identity has inertia to it. It's tough to change.
